That wedding thing is over and May has arrived.  That means lots of finales and a couple of summer premieres.  Time for this week’s complete listing of premieres, finales and specials for the week.

Taboo (9pm on National Geographic) Season premiere

Relapse (9pm on A&E) Season 1 finale

Paranormal State (10:30pm on A&E) Season 2 finale

Tuesday, May 3

How the States Got Their Shapes (10pm on History) A new history series that tells the stories about how each of the U.S. states borders were drawn.

Chopped (10pm on Food) Season 7 premiere

Wednesday, May 4

Custer’s Last Man: I Survived Little Big Horn (9pm on History) New documentary about the purported sole survivor of Custers last stand where the U.S. cavalry battles Native Americans (History, 9 p.m.)

Justified (10pm on FX) Season 2 finale

Spouse vs. House (10pm on TLC) New reality/home improvement series.  It’s a home makeover series where only one half of the couple makes all of the design decisions while the other partner temporarily moves out.

Animal Fugitives (10pm on National Geographic Wild) A new nature series about animal escapes and captures.  Hmm could we see the Bronx Zoo Cobra episode sometime this season?

The Electric Barbarellas (11pm on MTV – not in HD) New reality/music series

Thursday, May 5

Community (8pm on NBC) Part 1 of the 2-part season 2 finale

30 Rock (10pm on NBC) Season 5 finale

Pawn Queens (10pm on TLC) New reality series centered around pawn shops.

Friday, May 6

Flashpoint (8pm on CBS) Season 4 premiere

A.N.T. Farm (8:40pm on Disney) New kids sitcom series

Fringe (9pm on Fox) Season 3 finale.  Good news for Fringe fans like myself as this series will return for a season 4.  Now all of you people who haven’t been following Fringe – get caught up over this summer – this is a quality show you should be watching!

Saturday, May 7

Sarah’s Summer House (8pm on HGTV) New series follows Sarah as she does a summer island home makeover

My Cat From Hell (9pm on Animal Planet) New animal series.  Love the series name.

Sunday, May 8

The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business (8pm on CBS) Season 18 finale

Last Cake Standing (9pm on Food) Series finale.  Yes it only lasted a single season.

Best in Smoke (10pm on Food) New cooking series.  Barbecue contests!

Monday, May 9

Ax Men (9pm on History) Season 4 finale

Stargate Universe (9pm on SyFy) Series finale

CSI: Miami (10pm on CBS) Season 9 finale
