Netflix Watch Now Movies Worth Watching - Episode 3

We're back with the third week of the new, GeekTonic "Netflix Watch Now Movies Worth Watching" feature.

It’s Friday, the economy  is stinking it up and you’re looking for some inexpensive entertainment right?  Well all you need is a one-out-at-a-time Netflix subscription and a Netflix Watch-Now Playback device or a compatible browser.  Each Friday, I’ll be highlighting a selection of the newly added Netflix Watch Now titles you can check out – I’ll try to screen out the worst of the bunch and just leave the better quality ones or at least some of the “broader appeal” titles.

(Disclaimer: Not all of these will appeal to everyone – I’m simply pointing some of the more popular titles ;)

Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers - You've already seen this one and I recommend you watch it on BluRay or at least DVD.  But, if you're just watching it for the xth time, it is free.

21 - film based on the nonfiction best-seller Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six MIT Students Who Took Vegas for Millions

The Whitest Kids U' Know: Season 3 (all seasons are available) - New York funnymen Trevor Moore, Zach Kregger and the rest of the Whitest Kids U' Know comedy troupe turn out a collection of colorful comedy sketches

Apollo 13 - Just watch it.  Over and over it's just an awesome movie.

Company - Guys, this is a musical so if you have an aversion to these sort of things you've been warned.  If you're still reading:  This is a 2006 revival of Stephen Sondheim's Tony Award-winning musical comedy recorded live for PBS's "Great Performances"

To Kill a Mockingbird - a classic for sure.  I really preferred the book by a long-shot, but the show isn't bad either.

Cool Hand Luke - You just can't go wrong with Paul Newman's character ending up in a rough, southern prison.  If you've never seen this one, check it out - for free.

Friday Night Lights Season 1 - A decent TV show that has been mostly undiscovered by most TV viewers.  Set in rural Texas, the focus is all high school football.  While the focus in the town is on sports this show definitely focuses on the relationships around the team and town.

Friday Night Lights Season 2
