GeekTonic Guide to TV-New Fall 2011 TV FOX

The Fall 2011 TV Season is nearly upon us.  To get things started GeekTonic is running through all of the new TV series coming this Fall.  Yesterday we covered the new shows on CBS and today we move on to Fox’s new series.

Other Network Premieres Covered:

Allen Gregory – Sunday, 10/30 on Fox 8:30pm

A new animated series by Fox with Jonah Hill doing the voice for the lead part.

Synopsis by Allen Gregory, a famous seven-year-old kid, must attend elementary school with regular kids.

For more on the show, check out the show’s panel at Comic-Con

New Girl – Tuesday, 9/20 on Fox 9pm

A new sitcom with Zooey Deschanel staring as a woman who moves in with three single male roommates.  From the previews and knowing this follows Glee, I’m betting this one will do well.

Terra Nova – Monday, 9/26 on Fox 8pm (2-hour premiere)

This is another big one.  A Big budget sci-fi drama that needs to get a large audience quick.  If it does, it’s golden.  If it doesn’t….  Either way this fits right in to my kind of series so I’ll be watching from the beginning.

Synopsis by A new Sci-Fi series brought to us by Steven Spielberg, Peter Chernin, Brannon Braga, René Echevarria and Aaron Kaplan.  It’s Year 2149 and the planet earth is a mess, most of the plant and animal life has become extinct. Scientists can't reverse

    The X Factor – Wednesday, 9/21 on Fox 8pm

A TV-based, reality singing talent show that began in the UK.  Think American Idol with slightly different rules and Simon Cowell running things.

Synopsis from Simon Cowell, infamous American Idol judge and creator of the UK talent search series, The X Factor UK is set to launch the American version of the show on FOX in Sept of 2011. The X Factor is a reality television singing competition on FOX.

That’s it for the new FOX series.  We’ll run through all of the major networks new series and finish with lists of all new TV series and finally a list of all TV premieres including new series AND returning series.  Stay tuned to GeekTonic for more!
